Last July we arrived at work to find a huge colony of bees congregating on a beam outside our office door. There must be something about our building that bees like because today we were revisited with an even bigger colony of those little devils.
At about 9am we noticed about 50 bees flying around our back patio and a few in the office. Within a few minutes that number had tripled with more in parts of the office. We decided to call out the same people who helped us last time, All Valley Honey and Bee. We like them because they do what they can to save the queen and worker bees and take them to their bee farm.
All Valley got here and just as they were starting to put on their gear they noticed something coming across the field. The rest of the colony was arrivinig (about 20 to 30 thousand bees). It was insane. The bees landed at the top of our back stairs where they were entering the walls and were planning on setting up a hive. The bee people took about 20,000 bees with the queen and brushed them into a box and took them off to a bee farm.
The rest are still hanging out at our office, making lots of noise and causing a lot of uneasiness to our team. Good news, no one was stung and most of the bees were saved. Just doing our part to help the bee population thrive.
